The 16th NVC Charity Bazaar (NVC "Love Bridge" Bazaar)

The 21st NVC Charity Bazaar (NVC "Love Bridge" Bazaar), November 2009 Date： 7 November, 10 am - 4 pm 　　　　8 November, 10 am - 3 pm *Please note that times are different between the two days. Place: Sogo Fukushi Kaikan, Niigata City, 2nd floor Address: 1-3-1 Yachiyo, Niigata-Shi, 950-09099 　　　　　　 Not only your visits and shopping but also donation and volunteer activities for preparation (in addition to the above two days but also on the previous day, 6 November) and selling are quite welcome! Donations of goods should be delivered on 6 and 7 November only, c/o the NVC Bazaar, 2nd floor, Sogo Fukushi Kaikan

What is the NVC Charity Bazaar ("Love Bridge" Bazaar)? 　“NVC Charity Bazaar (NVC Love Bridge Bazaar)” is held once a year for two days as a financial base for the NVC’s activities. Starting in 1989, during the first seven years the Bazaar was at Tohoku Denryoku Plaza, and since the eighth Bazaar (1996), the place was moved to the Niigata Naka Post Office. We have received cooperation from many citizens, enterprises, and students, and succeeded to raise on average of 2 millions yens annually. At the Bazaar, we exhibit photos and videos that introduce our activities. Every year, including the preparation, more than 300 volunteers (except for the members of the NVC) participate in the Bazaar. From Niigata to the Earth, Exporting Out Hearts Why do we call NVC Charity Bazaar “Ai no Kake Hashi Bazaar” (Love Bridge Bazaar)? It comes from our policy that we aim to export our hearts to the countries, including villages in Laos, Vietnam, and Bangladesh by means of this “love bridge” that links Niigata, a tiny spot on the earth, to all over the world. The founded money in the Bazaar serves as a significant base for our activities in assisting these Asian countries. All items on sale at the Bazaar are donated by those who understand our mission. We would appreciate it if you could know more about our activities when you buy something at the Bazaar.
