The Niigata International Volunteer Centre (NVC) is a non profit organization (NPO) aiming to contribute to international cooperation, global understanding, and human resources development in local areas.

Our main overseas activities include support for the handicapped children and provision of scholarships for university students in Vietnam, educational projects in Bangladesh, and support of the forest and natural resources conservation and improving the life in rural Laos. We also carry out domestic projects such as “the NVC Charity Bazaar” every autumn, “the Seminar about the Earth” by front-line people in specific fields, “National Health Insurance Program” to support foreign students living in Niigata City.

Our organization has about 150 members, not only in Niigata Prefecture but also all over Japan. Whoever agrees to our policy is eligible for membership. We look forward to your continued cooperation and helpful suggestion for our activities.
